Our founder and lead osteopath, Mark Walsh, brings over 25 years in osteopathy. He is accredited by both the Institute of Osteopathy and The General Osteopathic Council (GosC). At Walsh Osteopathy, we focus on delivering effective pain relief through a range of manual techniques, including joint manipulation, soft tissue therapy and targeted stretching.

Our treatments aim to improve mobility, increase blood flow and release tension, helping to reduce your body’s inflammatory response and alleviate pain. All treatments are designed to be comfortable while providing lasting relief and supporting overall wellbeing.

What Happens in the Initial Consultation?

Your initial consultation lasts approximately 30 minutes and includes a full assessment and treatment. During this visit, we’ll discuss your symptoms and medical history to determine whether a GP referral is required. We will then examine and treat all relevant joints and muscles within the same appointment.

We use a range of osteopathic techniques, including:

• Soft tissue - Apply light to firm pressure to the affected muscle
• Articulation - We apply gentle joint movements which improve flexibility
• Manipulation - Movement which is accompanied by a clicking sound. This technique will only be used if you are comfortable.
