Local Osteopath & Osteopathy in Hailsham, East Sussex

Osteopathy is an established, recognised system of diagnosis and treatment that is used for treating a wide range of medical conditions including particularly pain in the lower back, neck ache and the pain of arthritis. Pain in other joints is also often able to be relieved by osteopathic treatment (these are described more fully on the common problems section below).

The osteopath in our Hailsham Surgery will take a case history and perform an examination of the appropriate area of the body to make a diagnosis. This is then used to formulate a treatment plan.

Problems most commonly treated in our Hailsham Surgery

  • General, acute and chronic backache, back pain (not arising from serious injury of accident)
  • Uncomplicated mechanical neck pain (as opposed to neck pain following serious injury)
  • Headache arising from the neck (cervicogenic)
  • Migraine Prevention
  • Muscle spasms
  • Arthritic pain
  • Rheumatic pain
  • Sciatica
  • Minor sports injuries and tensions
  • Generalised aches and pains

  • Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck, but not isolated occurrences
