Experienced Seaford Osteopathic Clinic

Osteopathy is a natural, hands-on treatment that focuses on the body as a whole rather than isolated symptoms. Treatment is tailored to your individual needs and comfort level.

Osteopathy can help with a wide range of conditions, including:

  • Lower back pain and general back pain
  • Neck pain and stiffness
  • Shoulder pain
  • Sciatica
  • Sports injuries
  • Joint stiffness and reduced mobility
  • Muscle tension and inflammation

Treatment aims to reduce inflammation, ease muscle spasms and restore natural movement. By improving joint mobility and blood flow, osteopathy supports the body’s ability to heal itself and manage pain more effectively.

What Happens During Osteopathy Treatment?

Osteopathy uses a variety of manual techniques depending on your condition and preferences. These may include stretching, controlled joint movements and soft tissue techniques using light to firm pressure. Gentle manipulation may also be used, which can sometimes produce a clicking sound if you are comfortable with this.

Your First Consultation at Our Clinic

Your initial appointment with an osteopath lasts around 30 minutes. During this time, we will discuss your medical history, symptoms and general health before examining the relevant muscles and joints. Treatment is usually included during this first visit. Follow-up appointments typically last between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on your needs.

If appropriate, we will advise whether a GP referral is recommended, although one is not usually required.
